Hey! I'm Felix and this is the Queer Kid's Guide to Life. I don't really know shit about fuck, but I've had to figure out life shit that other people don't normally have to deal with and that NOBODY tells you how to do. So if you have parents that disowned you, that you're not talking to, maybe your parents won't help you, are really controlling, or are deceased, this guide is for you.
I know the title says "queer kids" but I'm the queer kid and really this advice is for anyone who needs it. Maybe you're cis and things are just bad and you don't know where to go, this is also for you.
This guide's intended focus is on USA bureaucracy, so if you're outside of the country it probably doesn't apply. Also, I'm not really an "authority" on this and you'll probably need to do research of your own. Get in the habit of figuring out where to find information, it's the most vitally important skill you can have.
[07/04/2024] This guide is in progress, so give me some time. If you're struggling with something you need help with that you think should be in this guide, email me at QueerKidsGTL [AT] gmail dot com.
Birth certificates, identification, social security, passports.
I'm really putting this here because state sites are not at all straightforward and some of them look like a scam (I mean, they are but they're real gov't sites anyway).
